Google Search On Desktop Gets Dark Theme Officially

💡Tips

  • On Windows 10 and macOS devices, Google is finally starting to push out a dark style for Search.

  • Since late last year, Google has been experimenting a dark look on Search for desktop users.

  • Using the toggle in the top right corner, you can easily turn dark mode on and off on the web.

Google is now starting to roll out a dark theme for Search on desktop after months of testing. The Google Search dark theme is slowly making its way to consumers on Windows 10 and macOS platforms, according to social media consultant Matt Navarra.

Google adding dark theme to search on Desktop web to allowing users choose between white and dark themes is to prevent the all bright whitepages on search for their preferred styled; maybe the inky gray(dark theme) will save your eyes.

Matt Navarra Tweeted :

The dark theme appearance isn’t limited to Google’s Chrome browser, thankfully. Popular third-party web browsers, such as Mozilla’s Firefox and Microsoft’s Edge, are also compatible with the dark theme.

To enable the Dark theme, click the Settings button at the top or bottom right of the Search page. Select Appearance and choose between the available options to enable Dark theme.

The Dark theme style, according to the Google employee, applies to Search pages including the homepage, results, settings, and more.
